The problem

Hundo’s career CoPilot is a personalised career guidance tool for young people, powered by AI.

My task consisted in integrating it visually on a webpage so it maintained the main branding aspects as well as creating a character we could use as an avatar.

The solution

I designed a simple interface, based on common messaging services in order to enhance familiarity with the product. This was a relatively straightforward task although integrating automatic prompts and buttons was a bit trickier.

For the character, I wanted to use an AI image generation tool (Midjourney) and I experimented with several prompts and styles, arriving to a friendly female character, dressed as a futuristic (yet vintage) pilot, or rather CoPilot, in a style resembling our ReadyPlayerMe avatars as used on hundo, but veering more towards a graphic novel style with a hint of Japanese manga (but not too much).

The outcome

The interface has been utilised immediately and it is constantly being tweaked (a slight source of frustration is the delay with which my improvements are implemented, but unfortunately this is the downside of a small startup…) and it does not seem to pose any issues to our user base.

The character, internally named “Earhart”, has also been used in the onboarding journey, guiding users through the registration process.
