
For the launch of the new Cayenne Turbo model, Porsche wanted Fire TV to be part of their wide campaign on Amazon (desktop, mobile, tablet, Fire tablet, video ads and the usual traffic drivers).
As the UK SME on Fire devices I was tasked to carry out this Beta execution, first one to be carried out in Europe. After syncing with the senior designer in my team, I used a specific main image as the campaign hero and then I proceeded in creating the TV experience, part of a “hand-raiser” package which allows customers to request more information about the car via txt message and email.
The journey started on Fire TV as an ad banner, leading to a promo video and then to a landing page where users could learn more about different aspects of the car through different videos. As Amazon customers, users could also request more info through a single click, triggering and email with a link to the external Porsche website.
Though I have no data to share, the campaign was considered very successful, but more from a technical point of view rather than from a CTR prospective, as this was still a very new way of advertising to Amazon customers.
